Nice episode
I really like your codex overview of the chaos boys, and your funny nonsense-talk
.
Although icons actually do work as teleport homers for other deep striking units than lesser daemons. You can actually teleport an obliterator to an icon.
Also chaos raptors were actually worse last codex. They were 9 (I think) pts more expensive. Sure hit and run could be useful in some situations but daemonic visage was kinda meh. Especially when the model cost 29 pts for a raptor that dies as easily as a normal marine.
They’re better now if you ask me, since they’re actually reasonably costed now.

Hi guys, great show as ever!
But I have to disagree with you when it comes to Greater Demons. They’re the best 100 points spent in a Chaos army. I mean c’mon, a monstrous creature with a 4+ invul save? 6 attacks on the charge? With a WS of 8 and a toughness of 6? Not to forget those 4 wounds. Every stat is pure win.
Even a Carnifex isn’t that cheap, and he’s way slower in close combat.
All you have to do is sacrifice ONE (1) aspiring champion of sorts. I usually run a lot of Plaguemarines, and about 30 points are expendable.
Till now there has never been a game in which I had to sacrifice my Sorcerer or even my Lord! Who’d do that anyway?
So, I hope you appreciate my opinion on this. I would join the Call-In show this week, but I’m from Germany, so guess what: Too damn late…and I’m out for party anyway^^
Cheers guys! Keep that cool stuff coming!

Oh, one more thing: GD can rip apart everything, vehicles as well as troops. Dreadnoughts are my favorite prey

‘Ard Boyz scenarios are posted at bottom of second page of GW “article” Pretty much the same as last year with small changes. All three scenarios require kill points to some degree. Blah. Sorry Tau, here comes the Deathwing.

I have to also disagree with a couple points on the chaos selections. Raptors and Bikes can definitely be expensive, but I love running one or the other, especially to summon in deamons or terminators deep in opponents zones and put some early pressure on defending objectives. A turbo boosting unit of Bikes right off the line can draw and take alot of fire that would otherwise be flying towards your rhinos or Daemon Prince.
As for the Greater Demon, I think it’s a fantastic choice. 100 points is nothing next to what he can take down when he gets on the table. The best thing about him though is that unpredictability. You can play it safe and have him come off a standard champ (I play with alot of bersekrers) or if they get hung up you can sacrifice your more expensive Bike or Raptor champ, or in a dire situation I’ll sacrifice a terminator I’ve upgraded to a champ.
What I like most about the Greater Daemon is that your opponent never knows where he’s coming in, and can easily and very quickly turn the tide of a fight your about to lose. Sure he can try to limit and point the Daemon in the right direction, but more often than not your still going to have alot of options when he comes up. Lets say your down to a couple Berserkers against a tough Command HQ, nothing like a Greater Daemon to save the day. The best use for summoning him is to get rid of something that’s about to die anyway.
This brings up my last point, why would anyone ever sacrifice a Lord or Sorceror to summon him in? I have summoned my Greater Daemon off of a Lord before (just once) but it was nice to have that option. Trapped in a late a game combat, outnumbered and barely cluthing onto his last wound, sacrificing him to bring a fullt refreshed and unwounded Greater Daemon is something your opponent probably wouldn’t have planned for. Besdies, who would sacrifice a beefy expensive HQ when he doesn’t have to? It’s not something that you would ever want to be making a habit of, or I would even reccomend unless that HQ unit is about to die.. but it definitely is a nice tacticial option.

Awesome thanks for the new addition that tells when and where the next show will be on but I have one pressing question, is that Eastern Standard Time, or Pacific Standard Time? Or even Mountain time or Hawaii time? I am confused on the exact time and need clarification for the actual time because as it is I forget to watch the live show almost every week, but I remembered today.

It’s Eastern. So if your in the central time zone it would be an hour earlier and so on.

Still no new show? I guess that update on monday plan got thrown out the window. Still, I’d rather it be good and late then rushed and sloppy. I just hope it’s up before tomorrow morning so I have something good to listen to during my commute.
