3

Wow – looking fwd to the Dave Taylor interview – 1 love, peace and blessings

4

will there be live shows?

5

Sorry magicstorm, no live shows for now.

7

“Njall” is pronounced “Nyaal.” Its Norse, not some manner of nasally hick-speech.

8

HOW NYALLL DOOIN”?!

10

who was this painting girl you were talking about? what is her coolmini nick? :-)

11

Why can I not download this episode? I’ve tried both my winamp and this website.

12

Still haven’t heard back from anybody about my boota account, sent out an email like a month ago…getting kinda hesitant about renewing now :/

13

Dont know what your doing wrong fella’s but your sound levels are all over the place… I really like you but I have to strain to hear you or listen in a very very quiet area to make out some of what is being said. Can you please look into this? I have an ipod. thru i tunes with i pod headphones (plus I have listened to it in the car and full volume wasnt enough to get past the sound of the car. It was more the interview sections and the guys on the road. But please please sort it out. people are not bothering because of this issue.

That would be a terrible shame.

14

Hey Guys glad to see you guys cranking up the show and moving forward…

However, I am at odds with new 1520 xl, I am a owner of original 1520. it is holding 5445 points of blood angels and 1850 points of Orks. I am loaded down and can not place another bit in it…

I was looking for a case to hold my stompa did not see one at BF…
and have seen the rework of a already great case. I was gonna purchase another one and buy stock foam to create a case holder for it.

Not happy about the change they need to still offer original one.I was gonna house warmachine And stompa in it-sadness-

Sorry grumbling and rambling.
Besides that it is a great product

Posting here hoping they see this
Thanx for moving show forward :)

Hey all.. Love the ‘cast.. I agree with the audio levels.. Sometimes i have to reset the volume.. but im ok with it..

I want to hear more about Dark Eldar… YAY..

And btw.. At 45:50 or so.. talking about the one painter girl.. Y’all said she “puts a model on youtube and it rotates 365 degrees”… Arent there only 360 degrees in a circle? hehe

16

sound levels too jumpy.

TLOS discussion was good.

BOLS are celebrities like Paris Hilton; famous for being famous, most of the articles there these days are crap.

Guys just letting you know you’ve lost a listener. Audio levels aside (which is bad when I have to turn my car radio up to it’s max level and I’m still straining to hear you), but you’ve gone off the rails. I understand that Romeo has a business, and this is one of them, but “40K all the time” certainly isn’t your motto anymore. Seriously, if I wanted to hear about Hordes or other game systems there are plenty of other podcasts out there. In the three new show I’ve listened to I can’t tell you what percent of your conversations are about 40K, and of those in what way are they relevant to me as a listener?

Romeo I know that all these companies are your business partners but you need to tell them that you can’t pimp their products every few minutes on your 40K radio show. Or perhaps you should rename your podcast to something that reflects the direction you want to go if it’s to cover other game systems (of which I subscribe to several others and they’re doing it better than you).

I wish you the best of luck, but you’re taking your ship way off course and in the process destroying the “I.P.” that you purchased not so long ago.

Hi

I’ve just got into 40K radio. I don’t have anything to compare it to but it sounds good to me. Yes there are some sound issues (particularly with the Dave Taylor interview) but references to other games are fine in passing (or where relavent, as in rules comparisons), we’re not in a vacuum after all, but should be left at that.

Cheers
Mark

I agree with all the comments on sounds levels, but my main gripe is Rik’s Rant. I know you said it is here to stay, and I am fine with that. My issue is that I think you are trying too hard. It is painfully obvious that the rant is being read from a script and thus it just doesn’t flow while Rik tries to follow the text. Which is part of the second point. Just because you have a rant doesn’t mean you have to be a fast talking, raging hate machine. In fact it makes it sound like you are trying to imitate Spencer (and failing). My advice, just be yourself and I know that I for one would be more interested in listening to a rant that is calmly stated to the audience to get a point across than just a reason to pretend to be absolutely off-the-rails fuming.

Regards

@Domo: You mean you don’t find listening to Romeo’s sock-puppet practice his lines in Oscar the Grouch’s trash can entertaining??? Where’s your sense of adventure?

21

Well the sound issues aside, enough people have talked about them. I do have to agree with what some others were saying about staying on topic. I mean I know Spencer and the crew got off topic from time to time but you guys manage to take the off topic train to off topic ville and stay for a while.

I have to also mirror what Domo was saying, a rant, just doesn’t sound like a rant when you are reading it. Not to mention I found it odd that in the same show you mentioned just how much you wanted to hear our what we like and don’t like about the show so you can fix it, and later in the show mention that many listeners didn’t like Rik’s Rant but that didn’t matter it was here to stay. That sort of sends a mixed message about just how important our comments really are.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again this show I think you are trying to do what others are already doning and they are doing it better. I think you should take the show back to what it was. I know you aren’t Spencer and the crew but I think people want the same type of show if not the same hosts.

22

Your sound levels are nuts. You have to fix it. I couldn’t hear the interview section.

By the way if you need any content for the deathwatch RPG I have a pre-release copy and I can help you out.

23

[...] intro show #1 a few weeks ago but we were less than impressed. But they have now done shows #2 and #3 and both have been very good. Without Spencer the show lacks a bit of energy but is, so far at [...]

24

Hey guys,

you`re doing a great job out there ! I am relatively new to the show, having only heard a few episodes with the old staff – so the transition isn’t that bad to me.

I like the splitting of the show in nice, themed segments, it really makes sence, especially when you’re hearing it in more than one session (such as in the gym for example) !

I am looking forward to more crazy content and to hearing you guys soon !

Ciao
Chris

25

Hey guys,

I have to agree with the many other comments made previously about the sound issues. I can barely hear you. Also I agree that you should stick to more 40k talk and less about the other games out there. Other than those two issues, you all are doing good.

Thanks,

J-K

26

Good news, I just picked up Levelator to compensate for the sound inconsistencies. Next show the sound issues will be resolved.

27

The shows are getting better and better.I think we have to remember that 40k radio may be an old podcast but these guys have little or no experience in radio.Even when Eldanesh did the holiday cover he was in a room with his buds this time he is talking to the other hosts in a different state.the sound quality has been shaky but to be honest I can still hear it on my Ipod (just).I also like the way the show is going the podcast shout out is a nice touch. And the other hobby stuff cool to mention like Mark Norfolk said we’re not in a vacuum as long as 40k is the bulk then fair game after all its a great game and why we listen but there is only so much 40k to go around.I think one of the reasons 40k radio went slightly down hill was the guys were having a hard time finding new stuff they could talk about.sorry for the long post but keep it up looking forward to many more shows.

28

Where’s #4?
I have a bunch to paint…. need my 40K radio

29

I think people are forgetting that this for all intensive purposes is a ‘New’ Show. Yes Romeo bought the 40K Radio Brand but that’s it..

For a show that is technically only two episodes in I think you guys are doing a great job. Just go back and listen to the original 40K Radio’s first few episodes..

Yes there is room for improvement and I’d rather you guys stuck to 40K but all in all I’m enjoying it ..

30

I think you guys are doing a great job! I love listening to you guys when I’m grinding my way through painting Cadians.

31

Many negative comments here :O. I like this show a lot, yes the sound levels in the interviews are a bit low but other than that, GREAT show. Keep up the good work guys!

32

Not negative – constructive. they want to reap in new listeners as well as old. I have been put off other new casts because of sound issues but will stick by 40k radio as it was my first love :D
